Why talk to us?

We will listen to you unconditionally to whatever you wish to talk about as long as you need us.

  • Relationships and family problems
  • Loss, including loss of a job, a friend or a family member through bereavement
  • Financial worries
  • Job related stress or overwork
  • College or study related stress
  • Body image issues
  • Sexuality
  • Low self esteem

Volunteers offer support by responding to phone calls.

But for some it may be difficult to talk about ‘ones emotions’ over the phone and to a stranger

So if using the phone can be a problem you can e-mail us on confidential@cyprussamaritans.org.
You can also write us a letter to P.O. Box 64420, 8074 Paphos. We guarantee to reply to you!

We can also offer you a face to face meeting by appointment. To arrange this call us on 77 77 72 67, any evening.

Any contact that you may have with us is strictly confidential. You don’t even have to tell us your name if you don’t want to. We will never pass on any information you give us to any other person without your permission.

The Cyprus Samaritans volunteers are specially trained to listen, in  strict confidence, to anyone in any type of emotional distress, without judging or telling people what to do. We do not offer advice, but by encouraging people who contact us to talk about their feelings we are able to help them explore all the options they have. We believe that given the time and space to work problems or difficulties through, people can find an inner strength and perspective which lets them find their own way forward.
